Driving into the centre of the City of London takes you through the vibrant and energetic communities of Tower Hamlets. The buzz of the market on the Mile End Road contrasted by towering reminders of the wealth of the city, mingled into the hum of tourists around the Tower and Tower Bridge, makes this one of the greatest melting pots.
To live and work in this environment is one many people value highly, however the Borough of Tower Hamlets and surrounding area has some of the poorest communities in the country. These communities often have barriers magnified by language, ethnicity and inexperience of social interaction. The Monakka Monowar Welfare Foundation (M M W F) is here to bring about community cohesion.
From our offices in Whitechapel and Bangladesh we are best placed to support and develop the potential of all those ethnic communities.
