MMWF have achieved Double Awards from “Tower Hamlets Third Sector Awards 2014”

The hard work and “outstanding” achievements of MMWF volunteers and staff was celebrated last night at the 2014 Third Sector Excellence Awards in London. MMWF was delighted to have received two awards in the special ceremony held at the prestigious Troxy Hall.

Awards were presented to organisations which had demonstrated “significant achievements and impacts on the community”, and winners were selected by an independent panel of officers from Tower Hamlets Council and London Councils. MMWF won awards in two categories;

“Improving Social Inclusion & Diversity” and “Improving Community Cohesion & Leadership”.

Mayor of Tower Hamlets, Lutfur Rahman thanked all of the organisations who attended the night for their endless work in making Tower Hamlets a great place to live. Councillor Alibor Choudhury, cabinet member for Resources, added: “These awards were a great way for us to recognise the important work third sector organisations undertake for our community, providing our residents with a number of services which are essential to local people.”
