MMWF has a strong focus on capacity building and enhancing skills of community. Building the capacity of a community requires a series of trainings to develop the existing skills as well as to acquire new ones, and when a community has the opportunity to expand their capacity they become stronger for themselves and the communities around them, creating a ripple effect. It is a program of great importance to the overall health and wellbeing of any community for the sustained livelihood and personal development.
MMWF has helped many community members in areas such as vocational activities, but also in planning and budgeting to market their products. This in turn helps them to provide links with the local markets. Other training possibilities include, but are not limited to: vocational courses like electrician; plumbing, haircutting, child-minding, tailoring & stitching; kitchen gardening; chicken farming; goat rearing; and health & hygiene promotion courses. Whatever we can make available and will be helpful in assisting them to achieve their goals.
MMWF strongly believes that these skills are crucial and imperative to the sustained success of the community. It has a snowballing affect that is inspiring and wonderful to see. MMWF will continue to strive for the best capacity building and skill training that can be achieved, so we can continue to help those who need it most. The young, the unemployed and women desperately need the help. It is a worthy goal that MMWF is committed to continuing.
